I've read through a number of the reviews and find them all quite interesting. Everyone's perspective is most likely based on their own experiences in life. I have always, and still do, subscribe to the philosophy that there are always 3 sides to any story--his/hers/the truth. I can't even begin to understand the pressures of always being in the limelight and subject to the dangers that attracts. While some believe that Harry is a whining, privileged individual, he says it in the ending of his book--he's never been ALLOWED to be anything but royal--no normalcy in his life. Never having been allowed to do what we all normal people take for granted. Take vacations, shop, visit friends, go to restaurant & bars, unprohibited. He and all such people live in prisons of sorts, unable to be normal, always being required to be ON, not able to do what they want, not able to FEEL what they want. I would find it suffocating. I won't speak to the Megan effect--whether they stay together or not, Harry has endured a life that he did choose and has now tried to adjust from. His book wasn't whining--I thought it was a display, perhaps one-sided, of the trials he endured while expected to be "royal". But mostly, I related to his hatred of the press. They are not interested in the truth, only what makes news and money--I've experienced that part first hand in my own family. Would I love having the money, the servants, the access to anyone and anything that is subservient to me? Of course it sounds romantic, but would I give up my personal freedom for all of that. Most likely not... I feel sorry, not just for Harry, but for everyone--Charles, Queen Elizabeth, Willy & Kate... ok, not Camilla... but who am I to judge...
