Not sure what the snowflakes are offended about this time.
The show is georgeous, boasting the most realized middle earth to date. Everything from the infanstructure, plants, armour, and prosthetics is unmatched in detail and beauty.
Music is epic and reminiscent of previous lotr installments.
Acting ranges from poor to strong with great performances from the main cast. Casting seems quite right.
Well known characters are recognizable in spirit to the literature but are not finished maturing to the greater known Peter Jackson versions; Elrond is youthful and blind to the horrors brought by morgoth. Galadriel is spiteful and scarred. (Keep in mind they are without their rings and have largely gone untested)
So far the show has just been setup after setup. I can understand viewers who are not used to fantasy stories that present this way. Way too early to judge the series 2 episodes in but I look optimistic in seeing where this goes.
Remember, you can use your own mind to decide what you like and don't like. Try not to get upset over a tv show :D
