Being a huge fan of the original film, this came to fail. Though there were sentimental bits and amazing animation, the movie had an agenda. It felt like they raced through the story in order to tag on a modern political stand. Many parts of the dialog felt scripted and unnatural, like the actors were just reading lines. The entire story had too many elements without building relationship with characters or hitting an emotional climax (which is what Dumbo is kind of famous for) I pre-ordered my copy, excited for this release, but now have buyers remorse as I don't think it will be a re-watch
