Very likely one of the best books I have ever read, and I am a voracious reader. Ms. Cummins may not be Mexican in this life, but she may have been in a previous incarnation. Those who talk about cultural appropriation have no appreciation of the fact that this story MUST be told.
By all and to whomever will listen. A stunningly brilliant work.

Campy and trying very hard to be quirky. Yet not funny. Some terrible acting, Clumsy not comedic. I cared little for any of the characters' plights. Not a topic that can be handled badly. This is a terrific example of such.

I am amazed by the negative reviews of this superb film. I would not change a thing- seems to me that this is a true story of incredible bravery in a nightmare scenario. And yes, they were newly in love - unless you are bitter and don't want to watch this kind of human connection, you can certainly appreciate how Tami's pain must have been just excruciating along with terrifying. I thought it was incredible.
