If I could give this movie a negative star rating I would. This movie should not have been made. What happened? Did Jamie Lee Curtis even read the script? Was there a script? Who approved this script? This movie was not even about Michael Myers. It was about some messed up kid Corey. No development on the true nature of Michael; no explaining the "standing at the window and staring", no understanding of how a woman could live 40 years preparing for armageddon and then in one night where her very daughter is butchered...she moves on to a normal life; no scary moments; nothing. Good grief, it was so bad that I am taking time to write this review. It is really that bad! We find that Jamie Lee Curtis has resided in a Bubble to be Bubble Girl and not Final Girl. If she thinks for one minute that hardcore Halloween buffs find this movie even slightly better than disastrous, then she lives in a Bubble. It was just thrown together ignoring significant setups that were left in all the other Halloweens. It was a reboot in itself....as if the 2018, and 2021 movies had no real relevance. It was so bad, this should not even been called Halloween. It should have just been named "The Possession of Corey". I am so disappointed that they could have ended this movie in such a terrible way. It is really just sad to have 45 years to be able to tie this up to be a magnificent horror thriller, yet they decided to make a movie that had no script. They just made up the scenes anew every day of shooting the film. It is horrible, and they should be ashamed.
