I’m gonna come right out and say it. The She-Ra reboot is the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my whole life.* It’s like…Avatar: The Last Airbender + Steven Universe = She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. It’s absolutely everything I would have made it if I’d dreamed the whole thing. September Rose, they made a She-Ra just for us. And it is just the gayyest thing that’s ever been. (*Hyperbole. Or is it? But seriously, it is the Actual Best Thing. I mean, can I get sum GENDER up in here?? Can I have canonical LESBIANS why not?? Can I have an eye-rolling, valley girl-meets-Daria-drawling, black-nail-polish-wearing, maybe-South-Asian, brown girl who is in charge of like, the whole ocean, or whatever? What about punching and fighting? Are they allowed to punch and fight? But they are girls?? Okay, but you can’t make EVERYBODY gay? Oh you can?? All the orientations? And genders? And fashions? And races? And colors? And presentation? And meaningful thematic arcs for every single character even the HORSE i mean THE HORSE? So like…I died, right? You can tell me. If this is Heaven, I think we’re square.)
