oh my god. in my opinion, this drama was my fav one that came out this year. there are already plenty of reasons why which were explained in other reviews so I’m not going to repeat it. it doesn’t have a dramatic storyline like other dramas may have, but the lessons i learned from each episode touched my heart. I LOVE this drama sm, and it’s now my second fav after Legend of the Blue Sea. the reason why i started watching in the first place was bc of lee do hyun, who plays hong dae young in this. i loved his characters in hotel del luna and sweet home and hopefully he will act in another lead role soon! i feel that he analyzes his characters and portrays them very well. he is a beautiful man. oh, and the ost is literally PERFECT. please listen to it on YouTube or spotify bc its so good. also i actually haven’t seen the one w zac efron yet but now that it’s on Netflix I’ll watch it! happy new year everyone <3

ellie and aster barely spent time together throughout the entire movie. not gay enough. the writers did good with the parts about some struggles of an asian immigrant family. but another problem is that they made ellie the "shy" and "smart" asian girl. STEREOTYPES LIKE THESE AREN'T GOOD REPRESENTATION. one of the few movies with an asian, lesbian character and they mess it up. as an asian myself i'm disappointed. the main actress is pretty good at acting though. but anyways, this movie is more heteronormative than gay smh, and the movie is too long; it just drags the story on and on. me and my friend should have watched the lorax rather than this dumb movie. don't waste your time watching.
