Netflix rips out the mysticism and suspense of Neil Gaiman's fantastic story telling and replaces it with cheesy villains and scenography that makes you reach for the phone 10 minutes into the first episode. In a classic example of show don't tell The Sandman fails to mimic the sucess of the audio novel and the comics and instead delivers something similar to a 3 year old's retelling of a cool stick they found last afternoon in the forest. Do not expect anything close to the magic of the original Sandman story.
