It was painful to watch. I was excited to see a “Filipino” movie, but I saw recycled mom drama jokes instead. I stayed in the theater, hoping it got better at the end, but no, it was probably the worst movie I’ve seen. There was soooo much going on in that movie. Since we rarely appear on the screen, I wish they had done better. There is so much more to our culture than this. And did they think the painful “hype-truck” line was gonna take off and carry the whole movie? That was cringe. I was grinding my teeth so bad, hearing the line so many times that I had to see the dentist after.
