Oh my ... what have I just watched 8 episodes of? Feels like slow paced geek porn where all of the wet dreams come true at Patrick Steward's pace. I loved Star Trek. I still do. But not this. Re-washed long faded dopplegangers of good ideas get back to life. Borg. Dominion. Sour mead. Everyone casually meeting together and changing warm undies... I mean feelings. Yawn. I don't remember any other show where I skipped so many monologues. And the shakeycam... It made me search "what is with the shaky camera in Picard S303" and I found, quite ironically, that I am not alone. Jeez. I'm really sad. At least they didn't swap male characters with female actors nor made Data an out-of-nowhere non-caucasian descent. And kept Laforge what he was. Not sure about the blue eyes. Anyway. Rant off. This was a waste of time. I don't even care how it will end. Oh, I know. They win. Yay. Saved an hour and a half.
