I really liked this drama and shed many tears. The friendship between the three of them made me wish that I had close female friends that I had grown up with. The only thing that I wish was different about this series is that Mi-Jo should not have been the main character. I think it would have been more emotionally powerful if the story was told from Chan-young's point of view and her feelings, struggles, and revelations as she prepares to leave family and loved ones behind. I also wish I could have seen more of Chan-young and Jin-seok's relationship. They loved each other deeply for more than a decade and once he finally got the courage to be with her, her life was almost over. It would have been more interesting to explore the history and dynamics of their relationship than Mi-jo and Seon-u's even though I thought they were cute together. All in all, I still enjoyed the drama, but I think it could have been more than it was. It is still binge-worthy, but make sure you have a box of tissue nearby.

This show started off interesting, but after a couple of episodes the FL just pissed me off and I hated her more and more as the series went along. The only characters that seem to be adults are Ha Nee and her friend Dong Chan, and maybe the teacher even though I still don't understand what he sees in her. To be honest, I don't understand what any of the male characters see in her. She made her life a mess by abandoning the father of her child and then letting her daughter feel like she was the one who was abandoned and left to struggle. What an awful mother! Then after she abandons him over something stupid that could have been talked out without letting him know she is pregnant with his child, she has the audacity to get angry and prevent him from not only having a relationship with her but with his daughter even after she finds out. Her playing the victim is sickening. She was supposed to look strong and empowered but she was just selfish and irresponsible, especially all the times she came home wasted. The male leads did a good job and I liked their characters, but I don't see how all of them except the gangster still like her and haven't moved on after 14 years. It is a little far fetched that they are in their mid thirties and not one has gotten married or a girlfriend. There is no chemistry between any of them and the back stories of their relationships aren't explained that well either. Actually nothing in this series is explained well. I will finish it out since I already invested the time but definitely would not watch it again or suggest it to anyone else.
