9/10 5 centimeters per second is a 2007 movie, it is still one of the most beautiful 2D traditional animation movie out there. The movie is unique because it have 3 parts, each parts from light novel by Makoto Shinkai. Each parts about 20 minute, one of the story only 10 minute, I feel like it was already an hour pass by. This movie taking me to watch it 3 or 4 times to understand the whole story, but even though there is many details I still missed when I went to read translated movie explanation from Makoto Shinkai. The story is quite confusing and hard to understand, talking about how people who is once very closed and in loved can be slowly drift apart. All of the script in the movie can be read as a poet and understand the whole story. The voice-over is a bit florid compared to recent years animation quality but still acceptable. However the music is not bad at all, old style Japanese music is going very well with this moive. Overall this is the one of my favorite movie of all time, recommend to every one who is looking for drama anime movie.
