If you are a fan of Borderlands 1, 2, or PreSequel and thought that 3 was a turn in the wrong direction then do not buy this game. Somehow the dialogue and story has even less to appreciate than the 3rd game which I didn't even think was possible. This game's story and voice acting are the narrative equivalent of Corporate Art. A lot of jokes and lines are straight up reused from previous games, there's no originality to be heard from these NPCs. Gameplay would be it's saving grace but late game instant deaths and infinite (not exaggerating) boss shields means you'll eventually run into jarring issues that take you out of the only enjoyment that can be found with this game.
Gunfights cloud your screen with so much unnecessary flashes, explosions, effects and the like that in the largest fights you can't really see what you're doing either. Half the time I aim and position using my minimap because I can't see what's going on.
Worst installation in the series. After I finished Borderlands 3 I thought "Wow, the next game can't possibly be worse than that."
This franchise is dead.
