I heartily agree with a reviewer by the name of D. Alonzo. The nudities & sex scenes are really not necessary and, in fact, they are distractive to the plot. It looks like the writer & director put them in to help with the viewership, but they shouldn't have relied on such amateurish and stupid tactic. The story itself is plenty attractive, and so I don't know what the heck they were thinking. This aspect is very, very unorthodox for a K-drama (or any drama, really). There has never been a K-drama made in this fashion.
Furthermore, the sex scenes are not even between the King & the Queen, which if they were, would be understandable (but probably still not necessary). The inclusion of these nudity (nude palace maids licking on the King's body to help him cool down - really, like that would really help?) and sex scenes verges on the neurotic. The makers of this drama must be somewhat neurotic. I hope that those unnecessary, neurotic scenes don't repeat from here on. This aspect makes this drama very disappointing. If not for those scenes, it would be a pretty good "historical" drama.
