It started off so strong. It is overall an enjoyable, simple, yet engaging read.
I would have given it five stars until the author revealed who the killer was. I don't want to give spoilers in case you choose to read it. So, I'm just going to say that the supernatural type vibe is not it. It was shocking that's for sure, but at the same time it was also a "what the heck is going on" moment. I found the supernatural premise to be annoying, and the relationship the main character has with the killer unexpected. There is no hints or clues anywhere, causing another "what the heck is going on" moment instead of a "woah, wow, this is so good!" moment for the reader.
Would I recommend this book to anyone, definitely not. However, did I enjoy the read, yes! I enjoyed the author's writing style a lot and I don't regret reading it.
