Unusual Christian fiction about sexual abuse, its aftermath, both for the abused and those with her; touchingly told as a young preacher attempts to woo her through her personal defenses she has learned since the event.
It is "unusual" due to:
1. the subject matter, rarely dealt with so deeply, tenderly and thoughtfully in any fiction;
2. seeing real Christians, trying to deal with all the emotional and legal issues in a Christian manner; and
3. and with nearly every page, watching Christians try to deal with ugly things by working out Biblical principles: Love your neighbor; al, love your enemies, do good to both, and all of this put together in a very realistic, believable, page-turning manner.
I realize in today's world of 2019, it seems an impossibility, but it is not; however, it does not come easily. Instead, it takes a deep heart-felt deep love for Christ to have the strength and motivation to pursue loving loving one's enemies.
And the oddest and most unusual thing of all: this is all done without ever sounding preachy!
