Turn off your common sense — this is not enjoyable if you are not open to some silly goofy teen humor. As an Asian woman of some intellect it was easier to enjoy this show if I do the following — Imagine this is an alternate universe where Cops are almost never called and they don’t show up except at the end Koreans Japanese and Chinese are pretty much the same whatever don’t worry about it Breaking and entering is okay as long as you’re the good guy Underage drinking is encouraged wink wink Aggressive behavior is fine Kids and adults party and use physical violence to solve or not solve their problems. Just use your imagination — it’s a fun show. A lot of funny moments, plenty of action and villains to hate. It’s like a teen cartoon / soap opera/ cheesy campy show. Don’t take it too seriously and just watch it!

Watched this last night It’s sad because they could’ve done this so much better. It’s trying to tell a story of over thousands of years without actually doing the hard work of developing the characters, plot, or the story arc. It’s feels disjointed and uninspired. No emotional connection w the characters. The cast looked sad too. They just were sitting around doing not much and they knew it!! Special effects look so cheap why? Why do this? I’m very sad. Sad in a bad way. Not deep not inspiring at all I’m shocked they’re making a sequel but maybe the first one was just a throwaway to get to the real story? But who cares?

Here’s a “gag” show that seems to think parodying and poking fun at Historical figures is educational. I was not happy with the first episode where it glorifies Ghandi yet makes fun of Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. But when they made Joan of Arc into a complaining teenager in relationship with the Angel Michael — that was really disrespectful. I will not let my children watch this garbage.

Seriously light hearted funny show! 😂 I love food and cooking shows but I am not a fan of any of the dessert shows like Zoombo’s just desserts or that show about home bakers attempting to bake and fail etc. Sugar Rush was also very predictable and boring after a while. Something about desserts that didn’t mesh well with all the stuffy judges and overly competitive contestants! Why are we judging a cupcake flavor so seriously? Most shows take all the fun out of making and watching a dessert show. Is it Cake is different!! I love how they don’t take themselves too seriously. They’re spontaneous sometimes a little weird. I love that their interactions seem natural more ad lib than scripted. Also no snobby fancy dessert chef or patisserie or whatever in the judge panel!! I love that just “normal” people come to judge! They don’t hide the fact that yes we are trying to deceive you! It’s refreshing and almost feels like you’re in it with them. Highly recommend this show and hope they keep Michael Day. He is hilarious and love his big kitchen knives and irreverent attitude. Just watch it for fun. If you’re looking for how to bake show there’s plenty of those on YouTube.
