I didn't grow up on the Original trilogy, I grew up on the Prequels which were the worst inclusion in Star Wars since their holiday special.
I am so refreshed by this trilogy. New faces, new strengths, new stories. It's a return to some of the magic of the original trilogy, and much of this film is an ode to it, but it offers so much for new audiences.
I recommend the entire Sequel trilogy after watching the Original Trilogy.
Chronologically, it's a beautiful departure from the scene salad that dominated the Prequel trilogy, which had combined gobbledygook technobabble (but toss in the technobabble for government too) and overdone flashbang fight scenes, and the Sequel trilogy returns to using violence as dialogue, exploration of world and character, and generally refreshing antics reminiscent of Luke and Han.
If I can give 10/5 stars, I would. Since I can't, 5/5 will do.
