I love the books and I also loved the old version of Poldark. This new Series is lacking a lot. I was hoping, they at least would film all of the books this time. And that, they did not do at all. Plus, they rushed the timeline in a way you are missing all the very interesting things around the "Poldark" characters.Season 5 had me shake my head. That ending really sucks.So I can fully understand why the rating is lower for Season 5.I, also, skipped over big parts , for they just did not belonged there! Why even film such a great book series stop in the middle and rush it, in the first place! Make stuff up , if you have a very good book Series with very good material ??!! Sometimes I really wonder who is in charge over such projects! Doesn`t make sense at all and it is frustrating for the fewer.And disappointing ! Even some of the Characters do not reflect the book characters that perfect, like the old version did so well, they had a chance by filming all books to create a very good, new Poldark Series, from start to finish.It would have been, following the books, a top Series! Not every person has seen the older Series and you do can fall in love with the new version. BUT like so many times...someone messed it up by not following the books and not really see how great it would have been to do so.
