Bill Nye is one of my favorite scientists (yes, he has a degree in mechanical engineering for those saying he isn't a real scientist). He's an excellent researcher and communicator and continues to captivate me from my childhood through adulthood.
This show does a great job at presenting possible "doomsday" outcomes with a positive twist at the end to show how science can reduce the negative outcome of events presented. I love end-of-the-world fiction and this non-fiction, documentary style, "what-if" show leaves a much better taste in my mouth than a negative, scary representation of the end of the world. A must see for science lovers, those with curiosity about the world, and nihilistic watchers looking to be uplifted.
As a reminder, science is not political and this show isn't "right wing" or "left wing". If you watch with an open mind and a general understanding of science, the scientific method, and research projection, the show can be educational and insightful for anyone, regardless of political standing.
