I am not Christian. But I was raised by a Christian so I have a good understanding of the mythology. Having said that, I enjoyed the Movie. I was able to translate any Christian references into a broader, universal meaning and I took a lot of value from the film. It shows you how grief and anger can consume you, you release it to help yourself. It reminds us that we are not “the judge” of others. It also gave me more perspective of what my Christian friends and family members might believe. The acting was wonderful in the film. Yes, some of it is not believable and hokey…but it’s the broader messages that are valuable. I’m glad I watched it.
