First part of the movie... although it sets the tone and details of the second part... too long. There were times in the showing where I was thinking: When will the story move forward? Excellent use of the leitmotif, it offered the viewer a sense of direction. I'm glad the film at least offered the leitmotif, if not it would have been a challenge to follow. Excellent stagecraft, setting of the 40's, excellent. 3.5 stars
