Great music from John Barry. Sumptuous production with all star cast. But it’s really silly and tedious. It was made around the time of zany Hollywood movies like ‘Monte Carlo or Bust’ and ‘The Great Race’ so it’s in a similar vein. Wouldn’t watch it again.

Really excellent movie. Good production values, superb acting & based on real events. Well worth a watch!

I heard a lot about this new sitcom and seeing the actors attached, I decided to give it a go and tune in. Oh dear! I found it incomprehensible and unfunny. Unstructured and lacking that crucial element - comedy! I’m not suffering any more episodes.

This is such a total bore from start to finish with the self-satisfied Mark Gattis in total control of the entire enterprise - concept, writing & star. The show thinks it is way better than it is. It preens itself as if assuming it is already a classic from the first scene. It lacks energy and it’s not only the police who plod! I won’t grieve to miss the next episode.

This was a terrible experience! I was so looking forward to seeing this movie but what a let-down. The laborious start is incredibly boring but the incessant running or walking of all the characters backed by constant deafening so-called music is deeply irritating. None of it makes any sense at all with glaring plot holes and earnest dialogue. It’s a massive disappointment.

Never having seen a Cirque du Soleil show before I was really looking forward to Corteo but what a disappointment. The story was unfathomable. Some of it was just plain weird as well as being uncomfortable to watch. The use of two dwarves was sad as these poor individuals were used like performing animals. Seeing them lifted over the audience suspended by several helium balloons and used like toys for the audience to push them upwards like objects was cringeworthy. The abuse of them in an unintelligible Romeo & Juliet scene on a tiny auditorium set was so sad that we were on the verge of walking out. Not much fun at all overall and we won’t be paying extortionate amounts of money to see this company ever again.

Utter drivel. Avoid this stupid movie!

James McAvoy is excellently cast as the lead. He’s simmering with contained lunacy. His eyes say it all but are so controlled. The rest of the 8 members of the cast are all very convincing too with praise for the two children Dan Hough and Alix West Lefler who are really talented. The tension throughout is almost too much to bear. However, like so many movies nowadays the script is compelling until the last act when it loses its way because no doubt the writer and director cannot think of a suitable denouement. It’s a real shame because upto that point it’s as sharp as a pin. Recommended notwithstanding.

Well, here we go again! Great opening scene but that’s about it! Totally implausible plot with gaping holes which skates over very basic points. For example, the law attaching to the difficulties of extraditing a UK citizen to China is totally overlooked! The suspect has no legal representation at all. The UK court system is utterly ignored. It’s ridiculous! Punchy music and dialogue doesn’t offer any substitute for a wholesome well-crafted storyline. I gave up on this fairytale after 30 minutes as it annoyed me so much. Sloppy plot and not very convincing casting. I felt Lesley Sharp was totally miscast as the Head of MI5.
