Not very well written. Too much focus on Pakistan. The great Indian valley civilisations are hardly written about and the whole of Gilgi and Skardu and Ladakh and Tibet - the most interesting parts of the river are all covered in the last part of the book almost as an afterthought Too much of the author's own journey which is not interesting at all. Very disappointing book.
