Historically accurate enough to please a die-hard WW2 buff... The confusion that ensues during the final battle is excellently portrayed with some great editing.. Not a rivetting story altogether, and no Oscar nominations for any of this great cast, but certainly believable... Enough action scenes to make one forget the mediocre performances. A must watch, and a great addition to a WW2 collector's library of movies..

What a great movie to close out 2019 ! I can't imagine anything else being this brilliant this year ! Just send them all, costume designers included, their Oscars now ! In my wildest dreams, I would never have imagined I would feel so deeply for The Joker ! Phoenix's portrayal of this iconic "villain" really exposes the dark underbelly of society, and leaves one really pondering what this system that we've created is doing to and for the less fortunate and mis-understood... Perhaps Hitler and the events of WW2 would not have occurred if he was accepted into his chosen vocation of art ? And how many more despots could have been someone else had society been something else ? A must watch for all, not just Comic Book fans !

This movie, with its star-studded cast & directed by Scorsese was a thowback to a the glory days of cinematography... I'm certain the temptation to do this story as a mini-series would have been there, and would have been enjoyed by all.. Some criticism on the make-up & SFX teams... they battled to make some of the cast seem convincingly young...

I re-watched this after watching City of Lies... ...and enjoyed every minute, again. Great casting, and a very clearly communicated illustration of the period.

Michael Bay at his crappy best again ! Did this guy skip Editing 101 at film school ? The editing is so crappy that it appears that the characters have tele-portation ability as they move around and pop-up in scenes with no regard for the audience's intelligence... The acting is so one dimensional and bland that even Reynolds' quirky wit can't save this movie from itself.. A poor effort at developing back-stories for all the characters, that doesn't filter through to action effectively... On the plus side.. the action scenes are amazing, especially the carnage in the opening car-chase...

A classic murder-mystery, but not... The who-dunnit is revealed early, or is it...? No spoilers from me... A must watch for every fan of the genre... Daniel Craig's character suffers much as one cannot buy into the Southern 'Foghorn Leghorn' Drawl that Craig so valiantly attempts to pull off... I could hear the accent but all I could see was James Bond trying to be undercover.. Perhaps a change in the characters appearance to make him not look like 007 would have helped a bit...

A must watch for every person who cares to be a part of a democracy... Some convincing acting, and a great story keeps one rivetted to the screen...

So many songs !!??? They obviously couldn't definitely find a repeat hit so chucked in a whole lot of songs, hoping that one of them would catch on... And so dark and violent..!!?? Some great action scenes, but very violent and disturbing.. I can't see too many 5-9 year olds processing the violence well.. Definitely PG !!
