This movie genuinely fell short of the potential it had. The story was almost unrelated, felt disconnected from the alien invasion and has no explanations or reasoning behind any newly learnt information. This was thrown together and was more about a woman with cancer getting her pizza. The ending was disappointing as the intention was for it to come full circle, however I feel it could have been done better. Why are the aliens attacks so inconsistent? Why is there no strategy present or evolution of their understanding of the creatures? People clapped in my theatre at the end, clearly not paying attention to anything other than the deaths and not questioning the story line. Overall felt like it is a waste of time and money. I would suggest watching this at home so you aren't disappointed, unless you are looking to watch something thoughtlessly with no apparent sense made to enjoy alien CGI and random people being best friends in twelve minutes.
