We went to the movies to get out of the house. I had never heard of this movie, since I no longer torture myself with cable television commercials, that promote anything.
So I looked the movie up and was intrigued by the actors that were listed. We enjoy comedic and scary movies so I was ready to laugh and jump. I laughed out-loud one time, and I chuckled a few times, throughout the movie. When I saw the priest, I said, “I hope this movie is not cheesy…” Well to my dismay, it was half cheese and half sauce plain - when it should have been a deep dish meat lovers with triple cheese! I kept looking at my husband to make sure he was still awake.
Was I glad to get out of the house? Yes, very glad.
Was the coke icee good? No, it needed a bit longer to freeze imo.
Was the popcorn good? YES! Sooo good that I brought the bucket home with us!
Was it nice to see all famous funny actors in one movie? Yea, it was nice.
Was it funny? Not really.
Was it scary? No. Which I feel is good since kids will be watching it.
Did other people in the theater laugh? Yes once, mayyyybe twice.
Would I recommend this movie to anyone else? Ummm not unless they loved the first movie and needed to watch the second movie to make a comparison.
Now that we are home, my husband has turned the original haunted mansion movie on. Ughhh I hope this isn’t cheesy….but I already have my assumptions. Sigh. Where’s my Tylenol PM?
Don’t believe all the fake reviews. The movie was just okay. If you’re at the park in this summer heat, I would say this movie is worth seeing; but, you could just go back home to get out of the heat instead.
