This is an absolutely heart wrenching, but amazing book. It is an eye opener to the truth, fear, pain, and heartache that suicide and bullying in young children, teens and adults, brings to not only their families, but everyone around them.
John came to my school to present us with “Ryan’s Story”, back in 2015 or 2016. I was about 13 years old.
I am 22 now, and still cherish every minute, word, and piece of knowledge that this family has brought to not only myself, but my peers, who I know remember this assembly, to this day.
A lot of what was shared in this book, was not shared during the presentation. Reading it for the first time- I couldn’t help but sob 10x harder than I did hearing bits and pieces.
Even if you don’t think your child is going through something, even it you don’t have children, read this book.
We can all learn how to be kind. Ryan, John, and the rest of his family are examples of that. They love the way we all should.
100000/10.
