Really loved this play. Like Jez Butterworth’s other plays, it was both funny and sad, with big entertaining characters and a story which (while a bit predictable) built very effectively through the acts. The staging and direction were, as you’d hope, classy and at times very atmospheric and filmic. Having seem a few shows recently which seems more interested in style and staging above story and acting, this show felt quite satisfyingly traditional, but with enough modern touches. And the music at the heart of the show and the story was gorgeous,
