What makes this situation so distasteful is the concerted effort the group is making to shut out/block/cancel and basically just be mean to their competitor and all under the guise of “teaching him a lesson”. If this isn’t completely staged, which some say all reality TV is, it’s sad to see previously-admired survivalists behave like mean girls. Maybe there’s things not being shown that would warrant this treatment but there’s been nothing that I’ve seen. Possibly we do not have the full story. But as it has aired, when Team Mean Girl watches it back maybe they’ll have something to say for themselves or maybe they’ll be embarrassed. Personally, even though I love Naked and Afraid, this one is hard to watch and I’m rooting for the underdog. Go Jeff!
