I am currently re-watching some of season 1 episodes, in anticipation of season 2. I was first attracted by how intricate the crime cases are, and how satisfying the solutions are. But then I noticed many small scenes that add a lot to the episodes. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order.
William's facial expression riding that train, a reward from Raph for helping a case.
Tanaka telling Raph how Astrid honored him by learning Japanese.
Tanaka telling Raph that Astrid needs anchors, and Raph has become one of her anchors.
Raph smothering Theo after he explained the importance of Dinosaur classifications.
Mother of an asperger that she wished he would have problems with colleagues, because that would mean he has colleagues.
William telling about his difficulty in dealing with his brother's death.
Nicole trying to tell Raph how he feels about her, only to be told he is like a brother.
And my favorite moment: Astrid explaining to Raph why she gave her a thimble for her birthday, which almost made Raph cry.
So looking forward to season 2.
