All-Synth score, composed and performed entirely by Jerry Goldsmith (with the help of his son Joel). It has some brilliant moments (Lockons IMHO is the best cue of the entire soundtrack), but its extremely dated and really bad quality sonority of mid-80s synths, makes it hard to listen to at times. Nevertheless, this is a great study of Jerry's writing style done entirely on keyboards, and NOT arranged later for the orchestra (as he usually did). Here we have a pure example of his great skills as a keyboardist, his choice of harmonies, melodies, scales (Sushi Switch) and rhythms in his "usual way" - 5/8, 7/8 etc. No matter what you think - it IS Jerry Goldsmith after all, and writing is brilliant, no matter how bad and dated is the sound quality.
