It’s like the whole movie was all about the CGI. The writing was awful. I could guess exactly what the characters were going to say before they said it. You couldn’t tell if the actors were good unless you’d seen their other movies to compare because this movie truly did them all dirty. I can’t tell if the young git they cast as AntMan’s daughter actually has acting skills or if how the movie portrayed her (as a cheesy kid plucked from Disney Channel) is how she actually is. I’m assuming it’s just the terrible writing that painted her out to be such bad an actor. Overall, I had hardly any investment in this movie. The writing was terrible and the CGI was clearly the center. Plain boring.

The movie itself was beautiful, art wise. It is, however, one in an inevitably long line of people pleasing children’s movies that glorify life in an accepting and twisted manner.
