The worst film I have seen for probably 40 years. For a parody to work. It needs to be mostly played straight (ref Mel Brookes' Blazing Saddles). Bad casting for Holmes & Watson. Peurile script, bad writing, no comic timing, baffling references to Einstein, Charlie Chaplain, and others. Almost got up early to get my money back but was in a group so stayed to wonder how bad it could get.
