It captures the era of change, and the emergence of Black voices in America through the power of musicians, great thinkers, and activists. I was 29 that year, and this movie brought me back to that incredible - and horrific time. This "ode to joy", and pain, is a lesson in life, and the incredible spirit and strength of Blacks, and other people of color. See this, hear this - while enjoying some of the of the finest musical artists on the American scene.
