I really enjoyed this. It’s an interesting story and a believable one in the sometimes questionable wellbeing industry. Some great performances. Not convinced by Nicole Kidman’s accent but it sort of doesn’t matter as her character is fascinating and she is undeniably great otherwise. Though Masha isnt the most fascinating character here. Melissa McCarthy’s shows so much vulnerability as her character tries to cope with losing her writing mojo and wonders if her work was ever really any good. The family dynamics of the Marconi’s who are dealing with loss and struggling to find a way forward is another interesting storyline. Everyone is damaged, reflecting on their lives, the good and bad and searching for solutions. But it’s not all sad. There are some funny moments too.
