Not true to book. Very confusing. Ridiculous last scene. Don’t waste your time. The costumes and cinematography were beautiful. Story was weird and impossible to follow.

Confusing. It had me interested for awhile, but then I couldn’t figure out what was going on. In the end, I looked it up online to see what it was about after I had watched it. Clooney is a great actor and did well. This film was not a good vehicle, without him I would have turned it off.

It was just ok. The cinematography detracted since it was dark and monochromatic. You’d think a desert would have sunshine. The political intrigue and reason spice is so important were underplayed. The last scenes were not at all true to the story. The lore of the Bene Gesserit was also sparse. I doubt the film would hold up at all if you didn’t read the book. Duncan Idaho character’s importance was reduced to an excuse for action scenes and Jason Momoa was under utilized in terms of acting. Same for Zendaya. Not worth the time since it never really ended. Some good special effects with worms and various craft.
