Really don’t know why everyone is hating on it so much. Not claiming to be a big Fallout fan, I played Fallout 4 a lot, but that was the only one I ever got into. Lore is cool, and I follow up on some as well. But I read these 1-star reviews and don’t see what was THAT bad about it. Yes, some of the acting is cheesy as well as some cringe dialogue. Yes, Maximus’ character is really just not that interesting. Yes, Lucy is unbearably naive. But when I played Fallout 4, these are things I noticed in just random NPC’s along my journey. Some were flat out stupid, some were exceptionally boring. I highly doubt it was intentional to be similar to that in terms of direction, but it really didn’t make it that unbearable. The story is well thought out, with the exception of some “well why did it take so long” kind of questions. And besides, The Ghoul was the best part of the story anyway. I really didn’t even have to be super invested in everything else because his story and personal lore were interesting enough anyway. Overall, it was fun, action packed, gory as hell joyride. I definitely will watch the second season. If you’re a diehard fallout fan, there will definitely be things you don’t like. I guess to each their own but I just went into it with an open mind, and found myself surprisingly entertained.
