All these people saying it's a bad movie but I enjoyed the look into sandys past and her family granted we've seen pictures of her parents and they aren't them . but I'm not defending it in anyway it has many in consistency. Like sandy is all of a sudden a flying squirrel and spongebob acts to way to smart he was never flat out dumb but he's always been a little dimwitted this movie made him a wee bit to smart for his character. Okay well now it's interesting because of the references like sandy using spongebob as a parachute like patrick did and it was alright to finally see randy as sandy always talked about him . But in my honest opinion it's alright it wasn't meant to stand up to the other movies because it's whats known in the movie business as a stand alone movie it's set in the same universe but it doesn't follow the other movies because next year another stand alone movie is planned to release and it's about plankton. But if you don't like the stand alones there's a 4th main installment in the trilogy coming out next year
