When I read "me before you", it shocked me. I was a teenager when I read it and couldn't possibly comprehend the fact that someone would choose death over love. My idea of love was mostly, the John Green teenage kind of love. Mind you, I've never been in love so I still don't know. But then, I read "after you"; which was astonishing. It was amazing, how someone could survive that kind of loss. And then, there was "still me". The greatest thing about this book, for me, was that it was a book of figuring out a purpose for life. It helped me realize life isn't just about one thing. It isn't a "love" or "success" kind of thing. Sure, there are sacrifices you should be willing to make, but at the end, it might just be worth it.
