I have watched every episode of every series but in the last couple of years I feel that the emphasis on ‘originality’ or ‘not being boring’ has led to some deeply dubious decisions. All art is personal both in the execution and the perception but this series is - in my view - deliberately perverse. I have just viewed the semi-final and was disappointed that artists who ‘were not boring’ were discounted in favour of two of the most hideous pix I’ve seen in long time. Just my opinion but really……not sure I’ll watch the next series if this the chosen path,
