I have always been a huge Jurrasic Park and Jurrasic World fan. This movie was Rally good. I liked the movie, the plot was decent and it was well developed. There were some humorous moments and throwbacks to the first movie which did make people in the theater laugh, sometimes you cringe but it's okay because it's meant to be cringe.
I know a lot of people may feel like it's another bomb shell trilogy to the original three movies because nothing is ever as good as the originals, but if you give it a chance you just might enjoy it.
The raptor CGI for blue and her baby only in the beginning aren't as good as the previous movies, but if you take that out of the equation this movie would've gotten 5 stars(I want to give it a 4.5 but that isn't possible). I am giving it five stars however, because it truly was a nice little adventure for me and my family. (My dad actually stayed awake for the movie which is a big deal considering he falls asleep for almost every movie we see.)
It didn't really take away much of my focus in the beginning with the CGI. I believe the reason they did it was so they could spend more money for affects on bigger dinosaurs. Believe me, towards the middle and end it gets really fun. A few jump scares here and there and the new dinosaurs really bring the movie together. That's why the CGI, VFX and SFX are so much better for the other dinosaurs towards the middle and end.
Along with new dinosaurs, you get to enjoy the new villains, the huge biologically altered Locust that can't die(which is also a big problem of the movie), and just enjoying the old characters they bring back from the originals. Many people are probably irritated by the British girl but let's be honest, all teenagers are a bit annoying and rebellious. I enjoyed the movie and so did my little brother who has been an avid dinosaur lover from the time he was a small toddler.
The ending of the movie did leave a bit to be desired, but no one can ever be truly satisfied. So sit back, and enjoy the movie of dinosaurs and cringe one liners. Hope you enjoy it.
