the best book to ever exist like how does one go on after their brain has been consumed by pauljulian. a book of obsession, grief, and adolescence, as well as sm more, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU READ IT. the prose is exquisite, and soon enough you can't turn your eyes away from it. if you like character driven books, this is 1000% for you because i somehow know these characters to the bone yet not at all, so yes, one of the best character studies i've ever read. prepare to go insane, bc it'll be so worth it.

*spoilers a little* this book has completely gutted me, ripping my heart out and sewing it together. dorian gray would call me a sentimentalist for crying in the first 20 pages, but it's alright because i ended up having a new favorite book, which is this one :) adam silvera is an absolute pro at making me cry, but it's alright cuz i would not ask for it any other way. i will never see the world the same now. also, SHOUT OUT TO HIS WRITING AND HIS QUOTES!!! THEY'RE PHENOMENAL AND CRY-WORHTY FOR BEING SO SIMPLE AND SO DEEPLY PAINFUL. this book makes me ache, and perhaps that's the beauty of it all- inflicting such hurt to make us all understand, and grow.
