Sinners is a surprising, moving, and undeniably powerful cinematic experience. What resonates most deeply isn't necessarily jump scares or gore, but the stark and horrifying reality of the segregation and racism depicted on screen. Witnessing these injustices unfold is deeply unsettling and underscores the film's potent message. This is a film that truly benefits from the immersive experience of the big screen. Adding another layer of emotional depth is the beautiful music and score. Hailee Steinfeld and Michael B. Jordan shinned like never before. It's also just really badass.
