Maybe I'm too partial to the story, the lead, and this kind of rock opera style straight to movie musical but I really love it. It was clearly staged, choreographed, shot, performed and even set dressed very much like a stage performance. I love old plays, Cyrano is one of my favorites, and I loved the off broadway meets fresh out of filmschool feeling. Pretty to watch, sweet to hear, and warm feelings throughout.
