The story is beautiful, and the music is incredible. I think it’s more enjoyable if know going in that it’s less an original story than an homage to the last 100 years of Disney. Say what you will about Disney patting itself on the back and throwing itself a birthday party in the form of a movie… there is delicious irony in a massive industry-swallowing corporation writing a story about pushing back against power and oppression. Don’t be surprised when Gen A comes knocking for your tax dollars, Disney.
