The talents of the voice actors/actresses are the key part of the game. They really carry the lack of visual. Furthermore, I get to imagine it vividly which ultimately is the main reason why I like Killer Frequency.
However, the storyline and the gameplay need more works. The plotline is predicable but it remains entertaining throughout. I won't lie, the majority of the game feel like a fetch quest. Now, I very much appreciate the lack of jumps-cares, but the tense atmosphere gradually lose it purpose once the player get used to it. It became quite dull after a while.
Overall, Killer Frequency could have been better. It's nice seeing a game with lots of heart and effort to replicate an 80s aesthetic, small town vibe.
It didn't meet my expectation but frankly, it did entertain me.
