This movie was OK but a bit of a let down given the first 2 movies. with a title like "Dat One" I was expecting more of a backstop movie that filled in some blanks of the natural who, what, why, where, how questions about the beginning of the alien invasion. Instead it is just the aliens tearing thru a city. To me it was way less believable than the first 2 movies. Those were survival movies of ordinary people in the aftermath of this global crisis. At the beginning stages you would expect organized well executed resistance after the initial shock wore off. Theses are all land based creatures and could have easily been eradicated from the air. I could go on and on but this movie didn't satisfy what I am looking for in a fictional movie, science or otherwise. I am looking for plausible fictional stories. Something that is believable. Movies 1 and 2 were brilliant in this regard. This one was a major letdown especially in what little military battle aftermath that they showed. Really, a 60+ton tank shown all beat up! There is no way any flesh and bone unsophisticated creatures could even survive against a modern tank let alone tear it apart. There would be literally piles of dead aliens laying everywhere before any would have got close to touch it and even then they could have beat it till their arms broke and barely damaged the paint. The women's story was touching and poignant but that wasn't enough to save this movie. I hope they continue the series were movie 2 left off. That was an awesome "cliffhangar" and perhaps that awesome end is what further makes this a letdown. It is entertaining but doesn't add anything new to "The Quiet Place" universe.
