Grounded is a solo or multiplayer survival video game offered on several gaming consoles and platforms. Grounded was released last year in September and has taken over survival games in a unique and fun new way. Grounded brings us back into the 90’s with 4 teenager protagonists to choose from with one big mystery tale. If you loved the late 1980’s film, “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”, this game takes you into the mini world as well! You come across many different insects, creatures, and materials. You are set to survive and discover the mystery to your shrinking and how to get back to normal again. There are many bosses, challenges along the way, and even some unexpected allies to meet.
Grounded has a very detailed and fun story to reveal with lots of twists and turns. I found myself shocked when I reached the end as it can vary depending on how you navigate through the story. You can skip lots of things and complete the game as soon as possible or you can collect everything and find every creature or collect everything. There is so much to build craft, explore, and dive into with this game.
It’s only all just begun with Grounded as it still has more to be added and created. They are actively releasing new updates and releasing new content for players to come back and explore. There is a lot to collect, farm, create, and build so while waiting for an update you might be able to prepare and move forward with newer and stronger items. Many gamers stream or record themselves with friends or solo playing Grounded and their highlights and have made ongoing series with updates and more content from the game.
Overall, the accuracy of details to creatures, insects, plants, and materials is impressive and has even taught me a thing or two I never knew. I find the charm of Grounded to be its mysterious story with lots of fun things to do while journeying through. I find myself always opening the game after an update and getting back into the grind of things. I think Grounded is a fun new way to play survival games and could last a long time for those who play.
