They knocked it out of the park with this one. Taking inspiration from various samurai films and spaghetti westerns, this series takes its time and avoids the boring, overly-epic explodeyness of other modern Star Wars works. Oftentimes quiet and slow in the best of ways, it only bursts into action when absolutely necessary. And when it does, just like when a Kurosawa ronin finally breaks out his sword and slashes down five guys in 30 seconds, it works so well. Not to mention the little green guy, who is one of the greatest feats of puppetry since the original Yoda.
